TAR AKOMBO ELECTED NEW CAPTAIN

In the spirit of reorganizing Akwa United to be a promising model team and for the task ahead, the newly employed technical adviser, Coach Koko Uwua has re-directed the players to elect a captain who will lead them. In a brief democratic arrangement, the former Lobi Stars captain, Tar Joseph Akombo was elected while Godwin Oviegara emerged as the vice captain.

Akombo who was readmitted into the team after mid season transfer, enjoyed maximum support from his colleagues and thanked them for elected him their leader. He promised to carry everyone along and charged them to be committed in order to realize their dreams in their chosen career. In his contributions, Coach Uwua urged the players to give Akombo support, for him to be able to discharge his responsibilities.
