AKWA UNITED APPEAL N2M NFL FINE
Akwa United FC management has appealed the N2M fine slammed on the club by the Disciplinary Committee of the NFL for allegedly not allowing Supersports TV crew to cover the match against Bayelsa United in Calabar.
In the letter of appeal to the NFA, it is clearly stated that the claim by SuperSports that they were denied coverage was untrue.
Also in the letter, photographs of the entire television crew including that of Bayelsa were taken. The letter as well stated that the Akwa Ibom State FA chairman, Chief Effiong Johnson was in the crew to aid security and protection.
Akwa United therefore, are asking the NFA and NFL to quash the fine as the photographs and other evidences have shown that the television crew did film the match.
The team strongly believes that the administrators should see the game as a ploy to build long lasting relationship rather than instrument of discord.
